In its comedic, sardonic and conversational style, Paul's Risograph printed zine, You're Wasted Life attempts to explore and deconstruct the essay 'On Not Getting It' by psychoanalyst Adam Phillips. The zine is predominantly made up of Paul's own original writing but mixes appropriated imagery, quotes and self-created comic strips to bring a real-world, accessible interpretation to Phillips' theories. At times autobiographical, at times absurdist, the zine mixes pop-cultural references with the ideas of distinguished critical thinkers to examine how different life might be if we didn't all try to 'get it' all the time.
